Rental FAQs

How does the service work?

Once you are signed up you will be able to rent a number of games (depending on your subscription level) by simply visiting our Albert Road location, quoting your subscription code and letting us know what game you want. You can then take the game home and play it! Simply bring it back at the end of the rental period and get a new game. Rinse and repeat.

How are my payments handled?

We are working with GoCardless to manage our payments. They are a trusted provider who work with over 50,000 businesses (big and small) across the globe. We will not directly be handling any transactions!

What happens if I want to end my subscription?

You have three ways you can do this. 1. Contact us and we will manage it for you. 2. Speak to your bank and cancel the direct debit. 3. Contact GoCardless and cancel the recurring payment through them.

How are you ensuring I am safe from possible transmission of Coronavirus?

We are taking this issue VERY seriously. All transactions will be handled with extreme care and will be fully contactless. We will also ensure to clean components where possible and will manage a strict 72+ hour quarantine system for all games upon their return. As government guidelines change we will continue to ensure we follow them and enact all relevant safety measures.

Where can I see which games are available for hire?

A full database of our games is available to view here including their rental status.

How can I reserve a game?

With our Deluxe package you have the ability to reserve a game for rental when it is next available. To do this you can complete this form and we will make sure you can get your hands on it as soon as possible! The Standard and Premium packages are still able to view the status of each game on our list and can rent them whenever they are available.

You have so many games! How do I know what to pick?

We can offer game recommendations to help guide you through our vast library of games. We will also be putting out regular content on social media looking at different games and what kind of group they are suited to.

What happens if I lose or break a piece?

Let us know about it when you bring the game back and we will do our best to fix it or replace it. We trust our customers and respect you all, much as you respect our games when you come and visit Dice. We will address repeat incidents on an ad-hoc basis but are not looking to implement deposits or damage fees at this time.

Can I extend my rental on a game I have already?

Certainly - providing the game has not been reserved by another person! Contact us via email, phone or social media to begin another rental period (2 or 4 weeks depending on the package).

What happens if I am late to return a game?

We will contact you if you are late when returning a game. You will then either have the option to extend your rental or bring back the game as soon as possible. We will be exercising trust and judgement with our customers and believe you will do the same!

Can I buy the rental games?

Sadly not. We do however have a vast range of games available on our online shop!
